Racing. Whereas after getting home from work around 9:00pm, I was at home. Fast asleep. This is when I was suddenly woken up by a call from the Ontario Provincial Police on the night of the accident at 3:00am; telling me “sir there has been a very serious collision, I need you to confirm your address. We are coming to talk to you in person”. I have never received a phone call like the before and I don’t think any of us do on a normal day, so I got really scared. Once the OPP arrived, I was told to dress warm as I was being taken to ST.

Who will ever see that my once full house will now be empty forever. They say your friends are your family away from home, my entire family is gone now….No one will ever understand that. In times like this, where we should be supporting each other and making sure the families go through this tough time as smoothly as possible, people are spreading disgusting rumours and making false accusations based on what seems like Chinese Whisper. This is not what unity is supposed to be about.
As an adult who was supposed to make sure the kids stay safe, I already failed. My family is gone, I think about it all the time. I understand emotions are high amongst all of us now, but please fact check and exercise kindness. I am meeting, Arian’s older sister and his brother in law at 11:30am, today. To go to the funereal home. They are the ones handling this situation from here and upon asking them how and why these awful accusations were made against me. They were left utterly shocked too.

Pray for the deceased, pray for everyone hurt by this horrible and tragic accident. The deceased and hurt have families too, families away from them that are reading what you write on social media.
